I've finally completed a big long 'thank you' letter to the Make A Wish Foundation. I forwarded a copy to our Wish Team and a similar copy to Give Kids The World.
I'm going to give it to you straight, it was difficult. One would think that saying thanks for so many wonderful memories would be easily accomplished but when you are so overwhelmed with gratitude, the task is difficult.
The next step is to write a letter of thanks for all the companies who helped sponsor the trip. All I know is that I want to keep it short (the other thank you letter is about 3 pages long) and I want to include a photo of the family. I'm thinking about writing something on the back of the Christmas card that I send out. There will be about 40 of those. But I just want them all to know that our family appreciated their help with Joey's wish.
An easy way you can donate to the Make A Wish foundation is to write a letter to Santa and drop it in the mailbox at Macy's. Maybe your child can ask his/her teacher to do a class project and you can take the whole bundle of letters to Macy's when you go there for your Christmas Shopping.
A fun way to donate to Give Kids The World (where we stayed and the place was just as much fun as the parks) is to go shopping in their online store. I am so thrilled because I was able to buy myself a Give Kids The World long sleeve t-shirt. While we were staying at The Village I was cold and didn't have a jacket or warm clothing with me. So I went to the gift shop and bought a long sleeve t-shirt. The scary part was, it is a child's extra large. The biggest long sleeve t-shirt they had. So glad it fit!
